Saliba’s Medication Technician Bridge Course

We would like to spotlight our nurse account management team and their dedication to customer education. They have been working hard to create programs for assisted living and group home communities in search of much needed support staff.

According to the Bureau of Labor statistics, the compensation costs for private industry workers raised by 3.6% in Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale from March 2020 to March 2021. Nationally, compensation costs increased on average of only 2.8% over the same period1. This demonstrates a greater salary growth expectation in our market compared to the national average. We know our group home and assisted living communities have suffered staff shortages related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hiring qualified medication technicians is essential. Moreover, the burden of meeting increased salary demands is compounded by the lack of trained and available workers to fill the caregiver and medication technician roles.

As part of our commitment to customers, Saliba’s Nurse Account Manager team worked diligently to develop an accredited 16-hour medication technician bridge course. This additional course complements our current three-hour medication technician review course. The 16-hour class will prepare the certified nursing assistants for the medication technician caregiver exam.

Our next class will be held on Wednesday, June 23 and Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Saliba’s Extended Care Pharmacy. We are excited to partner with our communities to ease some of the staffing woes and offer this valuable, added service.

The cost for the course is $150 per attendee and must be pre-paid. Your card will not be charged until the day prior to the scheduled event. Registration information and a credit card authorization form are listed below. The Class is limited to six participants at this time – registration will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. YOUR REGISTRATION IS CONSIDERED OFFICIAL WHEN YOUR CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION FORM IS RECEIVED BY OUR TEAM.
